THE Picaroon was splashed this afternoon, and we are tied up to the work dock awaiting the Mike the Mechanic to install the new engine mounts, and other things. The to-do list is getting steadily smaller, although not fast enough for my taste, and there are still beeeeg jobs on there (eh. smallish, really). The one that is keeping me awake at night at the moment is mounting the RADAR (oh yeah, kickin’ it old school with the all-caps) on the mast, mostly because I still don’t have the bracket.
Today was a bit stressful, what with not being able to work on anything big until the boat went in, and having to pay a grand to Port Annapolis, but it’s alright now. The balance between time, money, and safety is a fine one and can take it out of you a bit.
