IT’S sleeting outside right now. In October. Blech. On the positive side, we got a bunch of stuff done in preparation for the trip south.

I wired the radar, GPS and depth sounder, which all works and is marvelous. The GPS chartplotter is full colour, and can show an oblique view and has touch screen awesomeness–it’s like an iPhone for boats. The radar overlays over the top of the chart view, and is HD, which means that boats are boat-shaped and suchlike. Very exciting.

Meanwhile,HB and Becca made a floor for the new ‘wine cellar,’ by which I mean the section of bilge we are making nice to allow us to store wine (keeps it cool and opens up a whole cabinet).

No movement on getting the engine fixed, so probably that’s what’ll hold us up.
