Tanker Passing Through Willemsted, Curacao
WE’VE previously described how cool it is to watch the tankers pass through the narrow channel in Willemsted as the floating pedestrian bridge moves out of the way. Now you can watch it for yourself and laugh at me trying to play travel host.

Happy New Year!
ANNAPOLIS has New Year’s right: they do two fireworks shows we can see from the marina, one at 7:30 for the kiddies and one at midnight for the big kids. So while Val and Becca missed the first bunch last night, no worries – they got to watch the second!
After a fabulous dinner of Crêpes de volaille versaillaise, we broke out the Veuve Clicquot that was a going-away present from my work colleagues (Thanks, Guys!), lit a flare, and christened the boat (fair warning: video contains some swearing; not suitable for kiddies!):
